About the Role

SSH Group, an ASX-listed company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This full-time permanent position is based at our Belmont office in Perth, WA, reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

What We’re Looking For

- Formal accounting qualifications (CA/CPA or partial completion is advantageous)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in an accounting role with end-to-end processing and month-end reporting
- Robust understanding of statutory obligations – ATO, OSR, payroll tax, BAS
- High attention to detail with reconciliations and balance sheet management
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using ERP software ‘Greentree’ will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience in labour hire,

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Manage daily transactions: accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Oversee cash flow management, payments, and statutory compliance
- Assist with month-end close, journals, accruals, and reporting
- Provide financial support to operational teams across workforce and mining projects
- Track and report on project costs ensuring budget accuracy
- Support audits, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements
- Handle ad hoc accounting and finance administration tasks
