About us:
The Surgical Orthopaedic Assessment Unit (SOAU) provides specialised care for surgical and orthopaedic patients, including those requiring ENT, Gynaecology, Urology, Vascular, and Plastics services. Our model of care focuses on rapid assessment, early treatment, minor procedures, and preparation for surgery, with assessment beds supporting care within 24 hours and inpatient beds providing short-stay management for up to 72 hours. Through a multidisciplinary approach, SOAU aims to deliver timely, high-quality care and optimise patient flow and outcomes across the surgical journey.

About your role:
In this position you will.....
Provide protected, compassionate, and person-centred care to surgical and orthopaedic patients.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, toileting, feeding, and comfort needs.
Perform continence management and pressure injury prevention strategies.
Assist with safe patient handling and transfers using appropriate mechanical aids and equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe,
and well-stocked clinical environment through restocking and equipment management.
Contribute to a positive patient experience by promoting dignity, respect, and quality care.
