About the role The Assistant Lending Manager supports the COO and various business stakeholders in the assessment, administration and ongoing management of commercial and property-backed loans across the full lending lifecycle. The role includes undertaking the initial review and assessment of loan applications to determine whether proposed transactions fit the Fund's lending parameters, assisting with preliminary credit analysis and supporting the oversight and coordination of the due diligence process.

The Assistant Lending

Manager assists with the preparation of credit memoranda and supporting analysis for consideration by the Investment Committee and, following approval, supports loan settlement, ongoing monitoring, portfolio management and eventual repayment or discharge. The role requires solid analytical and organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work effectively across multiple systems and data sources.

Key responsibilities

- Review new loan applications and supporting information.
- Undertake initial assessment of proposed transactions against the Fund's approved lending parameters.
- Assist with preliminary credit analysis of borrowers, guarantors, proposed security and the overall transaction.
- Review key lending metrics and considerations, including loan purpose, security, LVR, loan term, servicing and exit strategy.
- Identify apparent exceptions to lending parameters, potential credit risks, missing information and matters requiring further investigation.
- Assist in determining whether sufficient information has been provided for an application to progress to detailed due diligence and Investment Committee consideration.
- Assist with preparing credit memoranda,



supporting analysis and transaction summaries for consideration by the Investment Committee.
- Assist with the oversight, coordination and tracking of due diligence for proposed loans.
- Coordinate with loan originators, borrowers, solicitors, valuers and other advisers to obtain required information and documentation.
- Assist with reviewing valuations, borrower and guarantor information, security details, financial information and other relevant due diligence material.
- Assist with the ongoing management and oversight of loans throughout the loan lifecycle, from settlement through to repayment or discharge.

About you

- Previous experience in commercial lending, loan administration, credit, banking or non-bank finance.
- Experience with a bank, non-bank lender, private credit fund or commercial finance business
- Understanding of the commercial lending lifecycle, property-secured lending documentation and the fundamentals of credit assessment.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence dealing with professional stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues, seek guidance when required and follow matters through to completion.
- Confidence working across multiple systems and data sources while maintaining accurate and consistent records.
- Professional, proactive and commercially minded approach.
