About the role

As the Assistant Site Coordinator, you will provide operational leadership and supervision to Food Services staff, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Queensland Health standards, policies and legislative requirements. You will play a key role in workforce coordination, quality improvement, food safety compliance, staff development and service excellence.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Coordinate and oversee the work practices, rostering, performance, efficiency and productivity of OO3 and OO2 Food Service staff and ensure all duties are carried out safely, effectively and efficiently to meet relevant standards and legislation.
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure the motivation of the Food Service team to deliver services at a consistently high standard. Take a leading and supportive role in promoting cooperation and teamwork.
- Under the specialist advice and supervision of the Site Coordinator Food Services COH review and revise operating methodology, materials, equipment, setting/utilities, and staffing needs to ensure maximum efficiency, operating safety and a high standard of product, service reliability and delivery.
- Act as the Food Safety Officer,



ensuring the compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations and the ongoing maintenance and auditing of the Food Safety Program in consultation with and under the direction of the Site Coordinator Food Services COH.
- Under specialist advice and supervision of the Site Coordinator Food Services COH manage any performance, HR and capability issues. Participate in the resolution of grievances, leave and entitlement queries.
