About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our highly regarded Insurance practice, working closely with 2 Partners. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse and engaging portfolio of institutional liability matters, together with a mix of general liability litigation.
You will act for insurers, government entities, educational institutions, religious organisations and other corporate clients across a broad range of complex and sensitive matters. Working within a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will have direct client exposure, responsibility for managing your own matters, and the chance to develop your technical expertise alongside experienced practitioners recognised in the market.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer looking to further develop their career in liability litigation while working with respected leaders who are committed to mentoring and professional development.
About you
You are a confident and commercially minded litigation lawyer who enjoys building strong client relationships and delivering practical legal solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Approximately 3-5 years' post-admission experience in defendant insurance litigation or a closely related litigation practice area.
- Experience managing liability claims, with exposure to institutional liability, personal injury, public liability or general insurance matters highly regarded.
- Strong technical legal skills, including drafting, advising, evidence analysis and litigation management.
- Experience appearing in courts, tribunals, mediations and settlement conferences, or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative approach and genuine desire to contribute to a positive team culture.
