About the role

Cafe59aus is seeking a talented Barista and Cook to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Based in Spring Farm, NSW, this is an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for coffee and cooking in a vibrant café environment. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through expertly crafted beverages and delicious food preparation, whilst maintaining the high standards that define our establishment.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based coffee drinks and other beverages with precision and consistency
- Operating coffee machines and other café equipment with proficiency and maintaining them to the highest standards
- Preparing fresh food items including sandwiches, light meals and snacks according to recipes and café standards
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and café workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Taking customer orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Managing stock levels and notifying management when supplies need replenishment
- Working collaboratively with team members during busy service periods
- Following food safety protocols and maintaining high hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar café role, with a demonstrable ability to create quality coffee drinks
- Experience in food preparation, sandwich making or general kitchen duties
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements in a hospitality environment




- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Reliability and strong attention to detail
- A passion for coffee and food preparation
- Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications are advantageous (such as RSA or food handling certificates)
- Flexibility with working hours, including potential early starts and weekend availability
