About the Employer:

A leading Aboriginal-specific family violence servicefor the eastern metropolitan region of Melbourne. Delivering trauma-informed, healing culturally groundedresponses to individuals, families and Community experiencing, or at risk of, family violence.

Services and Programs Include,Intensive Case Management,Child & Family Services, AOD,Therapeutic Services for Women, Children, Young People & Families and Therapeutic Group Programs.

Role Purpose:

P roviding family violence case management support and case coordination toAboriginal women and their children affected by family violence.



Utilising our strengths-based approach,conducting comprehensive needs and risk assessments for women and their children includingscreening, assessment, referrals and short-term support.

Position Specifics:

Case management, referrals, promoting cultural safety, healthy family functioning, safety from violence, overallsecurity and the stability and development of Aboriginal children and young people. Liaising with Aboriginal families and communities to enhance child, family and Community capacity. This rolealso provides support and specialised knowledge to improve responses to housing challenges faced byCommunity members.

Essentially Offering:

- Relevant Qualification in Counselling, Social Work/Mental Health
- Reliable employment history
- Case Management and Referral Experience
- Sensitive of Indigenous and TorresStrait Islander culture and families
- Experience withIndigenous families, women, children, youth, mums, trauma
- To identify as a Aboriginal and/orTorres Strait Islander Person
