About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Brunswick, Victoria. This is a part-time, blended role with hybrid work arrangements — and at its heart is our tight-knit network of Authorised Credit Representatives (ACRs).

You will primarily be supporting them: helping them grow their business while ensuring the quality and compliance of their work. On the growth side, you will support our ACRs to identify current opportunities, build relationships, and grow their origination volume. On the compliance side, you will work closely with them to strengthen their understanding of Best Interests Duty (BID) and responsible lending, and to ensure their files are of the highest quality and fully meet those obligations.

This dual focus is central to how we operate: helping our representatives thrive while safeguarding the standards that protect our clients, our representatives, and our licence.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market awareness and uptake of our home finance products.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, referral partners, and intermediaries.

- Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for prospective partners and clients.

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the mortgage and finance sector.

- Collaborate with internal teams — including marketing, product, and operations — to ensure seamless delivery of business development initiatives.

- Monitor and report on key performance indicators and business development metrics.

- Review your Authorised Credit Representatives' files to ensure they are of the highest quality and fully meet Best Interests Duty (BID) obligations, supporting remediation where required.

- Support your ACRs in understanding and applying Best Interests Duty (BID) and responsible lending obligations across their day-to-day practice.

- Attend industry events, conferences,



and networking functions to represent Amanah Islamic Finance Australia.

- Support the development of marketing materials and business development collateral.

About you

- Proven experience in business development or sales within the financial services industry, preferably in mortgages or lending.

- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and build strategic partnerships.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.

- Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities.

- Experience with market research and competitive analysis.

- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

- Knowledge of the Australian mortgage market and regulatory environment.

- Sound understanding of Best Interests Duty (BID), responsible lending, and broker compliance obligations.
