About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Security Lea to lead ICT security accreditation, security assurance and risk management activities across a major capability project.
This is an above-the-line position focused on security governance, accreditation and stakeholder engagement rather than hands-on cyber engineering. You will work closely with project leadership, architects, engineers and security stakeholders to ensure security requirements are incorporated throughout the solution lifecycle and accreditation outcomes are achieved.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the security function within the project team.
- Deliver ICT accreditation requirements across project activities.
- Provide security guidance to architecture, engineering and analysis teams.
- Define and specify ICT security and interoperability requirements.
- Implement security management processes and procedures aligned with established assurance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain accreditation artefacts and security documentation.
- Identify, assess and manage security risks and remediation activities.
- Coordinate with internal security stakeholders and approval authorities.
- Provide security advice throughout solution design and delivery activities.
- Support certification and accreditation processes from planning through approval.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with security and assurance requirements.
- Support project activities across both pre and post Gate 2 phases.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering ICT security accreditation outcomes within complex and secure environments.
- Robust understanding of security governance, accreditation and assurance processes.
- Experience developing and managing accreditation artefacts including SSPs, SRMPs and related documentation.
- Experience conducting security risk assessments and managing remediation activities.
- Ability to implement security policies, standards, procedures and governance controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to engage and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working across large-scale ICT, infrastructure or capability delivery programs.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks, systems integration and interoperability concepts will be highly regarded.
