About the role
We're looking for a reliable, hands‑on team member to join our livestock infrastructure crew. Based in Busselton, WA, you’ll work alongside an experienced Team Leader constructing and upgrading cattle yards, feedlots and other rural infrastructure across Southwest WA.
This role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to develop and build strong skills in steel fabrication and livestock‑infrastructure construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and install cattle yards and livestock handling systems
- Installing posts, rails, gates and steel components
- Welding and basic fabrication (welding experience required)
- Measure, cut, drill and fit steel
- Concreting and general construction tasks
- Operating hand tools, power tools and equipment
- Assist with machinery and equipment onsite
- Load/unload materials
- Maintain protected, organised worksites
- Follow plans and instructions from the Team Leader
About You
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn
- Ability to weld confidently
- Practical, hands-on approach
- Work well as part of a team
- Take pride in workmanship and attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Able to work safely and follow WHS requirements
- Current C Class driver’s licence
Preferred Skills
- Experience in livestock‑infrastructure construction (not essential however highly desirable)
- Knowledge of cattle yard design and materials (not essential however highly desirable)
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and welding equipment
- Physical fitness for manual labour and outdoor conditions
