One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage a Change Manager - EL1
Please check below all the job details:
1. Contract Duration: 02 Years (12 Months initially + 12 Months extension)
2. Work Location: Canberra (Hybrid)
3. Work Arrangement: Min 03 Days a week require to work from Canberra office
4. Eligibility: You must need to have Baseline Security Clearance or above.
5. Tentative Start Date: 05th Oct 2026
6. Working Hours: 08 hours a day/ 40 hours a week
Key duties and responsibilities: The ICT Divisional Operations and Change Manager is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the ICT Division through strategic planning, operational coordination, organisational change management, communications, workforce initiatives, governance activities, and stakeholder engagement. The role works closely with ICT executives, directors, business areas, and project teams to ensure divisional priorities are effectively planned, communicated, monitored, and delivered.
The position will drive the development and implementation of operational improvement initiatives, support organisational transformation activities, and ensure business readiness for changes arising from ICT programs, projects, and operating model reforms.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Divisional Operations:
- Coordinate divisional priorities, work plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive reporting, briefing materials, and performance metrics.
- Support governance forums, risk management, and decision-making processes.
- Identify and implement operational improvement opportunities.
Change Management:
- Develop and deliver change management and business readiness activities.
- Conduct stakeholder and organisational impact assessments.
- Support adoption, transition, and benefits realisation initiatives.
- Monitor and report on change outcomes and stakeholder engagement.
Communications and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop communication and engagement strategies.
- Facilitate workshops, consultations, and stakeholder forums.
- Build and maintain effective relationships across ICT and business areas.
Governance and Assurance:
- Support governance, compliance, and assurance activities.
- Track risks, issues, actions, and dependencies.
- Maintain governance documentation and reporting artefacts.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience leading organisational change, business transformation, or ICT-enabled change initiatives within large and complex organisations.
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to develop communications, facilitate workshops, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience developing and implementing change management strategies, including impact assessments, business readiness, transition planning, and adoption activities.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate operational planning, governance, executive reporting, and performance monitoring to support organisational objectives.
Desirable Criteria: Experience working within Australian Government ICT environments, including supporting governance, workforce planning, organisational change, or divisional operating model initiatives.
