Rise with us and supervise the preparation and production of all hot food items within our banquet operation. Assist the Head Chef in ensuring the quality, consistency and production of food across all areas of responsibility while delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement and food garnish focusing on attention to detail
- Maintain organisational skills to ensure your section is clean and runs efficiently throughout each service period
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a way that aims to exceed guest expectations, focusing on the guest's overall wellbeing
- Understand guest requirements and deliver service excellence with each customer experience
- Assist the team with preparation and execution during service periods
- Maintain strong food safety and property standards
About you
- Current or experienced Chef de Partie
- Minimum 2 years' experience in hot banquet operations within a hotel, large-scale events venue or similar environment
- Trade Industry Qualification or completion of Commercial Cookery Qualification
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to perform under pressure
- Full availability and flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Passion for the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional food experiences
- Self-motivated, driven and energised in a fast-paced environment
