The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Quality and Compliance Officer to play a critical governance role, acting as a gatekeeper for supporting GlobeWest's compliance, quality and governance framework.
Reporting to our Quality and Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for obtaining, analysing and cataloguing all relevant documentation to mitigate risk, protect the business, and ensure ongoing audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage supplier compliance, ensuring all documentation, certifications, declarations and regulatory requirements are complete, current and audit-ready.
- Coordinate Illegal Logging compliance activities, including supplier due diligence, risk assessments, chain of custody verification and legislative reporting requirements.
- Support supplier onboarding by reviewing compliance documentation, identifying gaps and ensuring all approval requirements are met before activation.
- Assist with domestic and international regulatory compliance requirements, including product testing, certifications, registrations and maintenance of compliance registers.
- Coordinate product quality inspections with suppliers, overseas quality teams and third-party inspection providers, ensuring reports are reviewed, tracked and filed.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery outcomes and compliance metrics, supporting supplier scorecards and corrective action programs.
- Analyse product returns,
quality data and supplier performance trends to identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate supplier databases, compliance registers and documentation systems, ensuring records are easily accessible and up to date.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing compliance evidence, tracking corrective actions and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
- Collaborate with suppliers, laboratories, consultants and internal stakeholders to drive compliance, quality assurance and risk management outcomes.
About You
You bring at least three years of experience in Sourcing and Quality, specifically with factory audits and social compliance with international suppliers and overseas factories.
You will have exceptional organisational and document management skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Mandarin speaking is desirable to support communication with our overseas stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential. Any knowledge of knowledge of SMETA, BSCI, Modern Slavery and/or Illegal Logging requirements are an advantage.
