About the role
n
The Senior (State) Manager - Programs is responsible for the strategic and operational management of a portfolio of state/territory-wide programs. Areas of support include the participation and inclusion of migrants in transition; individual and community emergency resilience, preparedness and recovery; and the delivery of strategically aligned community programs.
n
You will lead a geographically dispersed workforce of staff and volunteers and be responsible for brokering local, regional, and state/territory sector, community and government collaborations and partnerships.
n
Day to day, you will:
n
n
- Ensure programs are designed and delivered to meet full compliance with contractual, legislative, and quality standards requirements.
n
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities at the local, regional, and state/territory level aligned to our migration and emergency services sub-strategies.
n
- Represent on relevant local, regional and state/territory committees, networks, meetings, and forums and promotion of Red Cross services
n
- Develop program budgets and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the financial performance to ensure budget and revenue parameters are met
n

- Substantial experience managing scalable community based programs and activities across geographic boundaries.
n
- Well-developed cultural competence skills and the ability to work with and lead teams of people from diverse backgrounds
n
- Demonstrated understanding of community resilience, preparedness, and recovery program models.
n
- Considerable experience in managing change, identifying and adopting recent ways of working, and securing the cooperation of key stakeholders
n

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award level 6, Red Cross job grade 7, salary from $120,000 + super + salary packaging.
