About the Role

n

Hunter Street are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join their team and be a part of an exciting relaunch.

n

Your responsibilities will be

n

n




- Support executive chef in the management and strategy for the kitchen
n
- Collaborate with Executive Chef on menu design
n
- Assist executive chef with people management, training and development
n
- Work with Executive Chef on weekly ordering and rosters
n
- Lead and manage your designated section, ensuring the consistent delivery of premium quality dishes
n
- Execute dishes with precision, maintaining exceptional quality, presentation, and portion control during service
n
- fostering efficiency, communication, and skilled growth.
n
- Implement and manage strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and WH&S; standards while ensuring a clean, organised, and high-performing workstation
n

Qualifications & Experience

n

n
- Previous Experience : Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a premium or fine dining restaurant.
n
- Food Cleanliness : Strong focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
n
- Leadership and Team Player Skills : A passion for training and developing talented culinary individuals who will be the future leaders within the business.
n
- Effective Communication : Skills in fostering honesty and transparency, with the ability to provide timely updates.
n
- Health & Safety Commitment : Knowledge of Food Safety standards and WHS regulations.
n

Successful candidates will possess

n

n
- Previous experience in a Sous Chef position
n
- A willingness to go above and beyond with an eagerness to grow personally and professionally.
n
- Have a big picture approach while ensuring the daily deliverables are being met
n
- Availability for a 7 day rotating roster (hours are shared depending on availability, between open, mid and closing shifts)
n
- An understanding of profit measures, the ability to manage costs and productivity, and the drive to exceed sales goals
n
- A passion for training and developing talented culinary individuals who will be the future leaders within the business
n
- Experience in a premium dining restaurant or luxury hotel
