About Back On Track Psychology

Back On Track Psychology is a teaching clinic committed to developing the next generation of clinical neuropsychologists while delivering inclusive, high-quality care to our community. Supervision, mentoring and learning are woven into everything we do, from our embedded registrar program through to case consultation and ongoing professional development for clinicians at every stage of their career. We proudly serve culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, providing psychology services in the language our clients are most comfortable with. We are an LGBTQIA+ affirming practice, and we take a neuroaffirming approach to assessment and intervention, respecting neurodivergence as a natural part of human diversity and working with each client's strengths.

We deliver care through a flexible mix of telehealth, in-clinic and outreach services, bringing support out of the traditional clinic model and into the spaces where our clients feel most comfortable.

About the Role

We are seeking a Grade 2 or Grade 3 Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our growing team on a part time basis. You will work with a diverse range of paediatric and adult clients, with referrals from the NDIS, medical and allied health providers, schools, and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH). You will provide a high level of clinical neuropsychology expertise, consultation and advice on complex clinical matters. Grade 2 – Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar (embedded registrar program): This position has the PsyBA registrar program built in.

You will receive regular supervision from a board-approved supervisor, a caseload structured to meet your supervised practice requirements, and active support with CPD — everything you need to progress towards your Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Grade 3 – Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist: You will take the lead on complex assessments, provide expert consultation to referrers and the care team, and have the opportunity to contribute to the supervision and development of our placement students.

- Provide individual interventions using evidence-based psychotherapy techniques
- Attend care team meetings and make recommendations for client management, including cognitive and behavioural rehabilitation interventions
- Liaise with referrers regarding assessment, opinion, management plans and treatment progress
- Collaborate with clients, parents, teachers, carers, support workers and other health professionals to collect information and provide constructive feedback

- Maintain detailed client records in our electronic records system, and confidentiality within ethical and legal guidelines
- Complete relevant NDIS, Medicare and insurance paperwork
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, training and professional development

Selection Criteria

- Current registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC), or equivalent
- Professional indemnity insurance (maintained throughout employment)
- A current Victorian driver's licence and access to a motor vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain
