About the role

On a 12-month contract basis, this is your chance to own cloud automation at a fund with real purpose. You'll build hands-on AWS, Azure and DevSecOps expertise that sharpens your skills. As Cloud Engineer, you'll design and deliver HESTA's Cloud infrastructure across both AWS and Azure following best practices, from design through to BAU support, partnering with stakeholders across the business and Information Security to keep the environment secure, compliant and ready to scale.

- Design and build cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code
- Lead the implementation of DevOps and DevSecOps practices across the organisation
- Act as an escalation point for production incidents and drive ongoing operational improvements
- Provide technical guidance on cloud automation, architecture and vendor management

About You You're an experienced cloud engineer who's comfortable owning automation end-to-end and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges. You'll bring:

- An IT or Engineering degree, with demonstrated experience in cloud technologies (essential)
- AWS DevOps Engineer certification, with Azure certification highly regarded
- Strong experience with AWS services such as Lambda, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, API Gateway, VPC, EC2, AWS batch and IAM




- Strong experience with Azure services such as Azure functions, Azure DevOps, Virtual networks, VMs and RBAC
- Solid Infrastructure as Code experience using native tools, Terraform or Azure DevOps
- A background in incident management, problem-solving and production support
- Exposure to container tools like ECS and Fargate, and full stack application development
