ABOUT US
Founded in 1893, the Western Australia Rugby Union (Rugby WA) is the governing body of rugby union in the state, providing opportunities and pathways for everyone in the community to participate in our sport.
As an organisation our PURPOSE is to inspire community connection, drive passionate involvement and unite Western Australians on and off the field.
Our recent strategic plan is bold and ambitious, as is our 10-year vision for Rugby in WA;
"By 2032 WA will be a globally recognised rugby identity. We will enjoy vibrant and growing rugby participation, as local, national and international participants embrace our comprehensive and inclusive programs. Dreams will be realised playing at WA's purpose-built home of rugby.
Our pathway and performance programs will be the benchmark of international standards. Our representative teams will see sustained competitive success. Through robust and committed relationships with our stakeholders, the union is thriving and able to provide the rugby community with game changing grass roots support".
Within our sport, and at Rugby WA, our values and behaviours are at the core of who we are, what we do and how we do it. Our values represent a non-negotiable set of principles that we expect each of our employees to observe unconditionally.
TEAMWORK – Always stronger together.
