About our position The Condition Monitoring Manager - APAC is a key position within ContiTech, responsible for leading the Condition Monitoring function and driving related sales growth within APAC. The role will plan, lead and coordinate the technical and commercial sale of Digital Solutions including the system, software and service.
This is a regional leadership role combining technical expertise, service business management, digital solutions, sales, customer engagement, conveyor belt splicing quality assurance and team development. You will play a key role in expanding our condition monitoring capabilities and delivering solutions that help customers improve conveyor reliability, reduce unplanned downtime and prevent costly belt failures.
This role will be primarily based in our Wangara and Perth office with intermittent site travel required within APAC.
Tasks include:
- Support the development of the APAC conveyor condition monitoring strategy to expand footprint across the IAPAC Region.
- Coordinate and lead regional monitoring installation and maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with sales, product engineering, pricing and customer service teams to integrate digital solutions into contracts and tenders.
- Provide technical support/information to customers on condition monitoring systems from sale to post installation and servicing.
- Investigate any major changes or faults to the performance of equipment.
- Ensure CCM Engineers are trained and follow local/global standardized process.
- Provide technical training to field & sales colleagues and customers.
- Monitor region’s product performance and report on customer feedback or recommendations.
- Identify and report key opportunities for improvement across ContiTech’s digital CS products and services portfolio to the Digital Solutions Group.
Your Profile: To be successful in this position – you’ll need:
- Experience with conveyor operations within the mining and materials handling industries in a technical capacity.
- Demonstrated success managing technicians within a mine-site environment.
- Understanding of legislation and standards that govern operating on mine sites pertinent to Condition Monitoring and the equipment used to undertake such work.
- Intermediate to expert knowledge of the processes and methodologies surrounding heavy weight conveyor belt condition monitoring technologies
- Ability to negotiate and achieve win-win outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
- Robust Condition Monitoring experience.
- Proven leadership experience within a mining industry, field service environment.
- Proven success managing projects.
- Degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Qualification.
