What you will do

As Contract Manager, you will support high-value and strategic contracts.



You will help ensure contracts meet government rules, policies and agreed outcomes.

You will

- lead clear contract management plans and related documents within agreed timeframes
- build effective working relationships with suppliers and department staff to support contract outcomes
- prepare regular reports using procurement systems and tools such as Excel and PowerPoint
- keep accurate contract records and procurement system data up to date
- support high-value contracts by tracking performance, spending, invoices and contract changes

About you A relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain, commerce, law or business administration is highly desirable. Experience or understanding of government procurement and policies is also highly desirable.

You should also have

- strong supplier management skills, including improving performance and managing supplier issues
- sound contract management skills, including performance, benefits and commercial outcomes
- confident negotiation skills to reach clear and practical outcomes with suppliers
- good commercial judgement, with the ability to manage risks and deliver value for money
