We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Comuna Cantina Everton Park. As a Cook, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food, excellent culinary skills, and ensuring productive and high-quality delivery of meals. This is a part-time role based at our Everton Park location.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking a range of dishes in accordance with recipes and business standards.
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented to a consistently high standard.
- Assisting with menu implementation and daily food preparation requirements.
- Monitoring food quality, portion control and minimizing waste.
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Storing and handling food appropriately and monitoring stock levels.
- Assisting with ordering and stock rotation.
- Working effectively within a busy kitchen environment.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant or similar food service setting
- Night and Weekend availability
- 8 - 20 Hours per week
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- A passion for food and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices
