Baan Kitchen & Bar is a hugely popular Vietnamese Restaurant servicing Australind and surrounding suburbs. We are looking for a Cook to join our energetic kitchen crew. Under the direction of the director, the Cook will perform cooking and kitchen duties to maintain our restaurant standards.
Key responsibilities
- Examine ingredients and food produce to ensure and maintain freshness and quality
- Store and maintain the freshness of ingredients and food produce appropriately including freezing them
- Prepare and cook food and dishes on our menu
- Season and cook food and dishes to restaurant standard
- Portion the serve for each dish
- Plate and present dishes
- Cook food to specific diners' requirements or requests on occasions
- Plan and change our menu from time to time
- Estimate and order ingredients and food produce on a regular basis
- Train kitchen or other staff in the kitchen
- Such other duties as may be incidental to the work of a Cook.
About you
- Minimum formal qualification to work as a Cook (by formal qualification or work experience)
- At least 1 year of work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
