#### Cabler (Data and Telecommunications)Sydney, NSW 2000Full Time#### Job descriptionELV Australia is seeking an experienced Cabler (Data and Telecommunications) to join our team on a full-time basis, working across residential and commercial projects throughout the Sydney metropolitan area.Key Responsibilities • Install structured data cabling, including Cat6, Cat6A and fibre optic cabling; • Install cable pathways, communications racks, patch panels and associated network equipment; • Terminate, test and certify copper and fibre cabling; • Install and connect CCTV, access control, intercom, security and alarm systems; • Install cabling and equipment for smart home and building automation systems; • Install and connect network hardware, including switches, wireless access points and PoE equipment; • Mount and connect cameras, readers,
intercom stations and control panels; • Test and commission installed equipment and connect devices to site networks; • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs and maintenance on existing systems; and • Ensure installations comply with relevant technical and safety requirements.Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will have: • Relevant qualifications in telecommunications, data communications or a related field; • Relevant experience in data and telecommunications cabling and ELV system installation; • Experience with structured copper and fibre cabling; • Experience with CCTV, access control, intercom and security systems; • Solid testing, fault-finding and troubleshooting skills; • Ability to read technical plans and specifications; and • Relevant Australian cabling registration/licences, where required.ELV Australia operates under Master Security Licence 000110848.How to ApplyPlease submit your CV outlining your relevant qualifications and experience.
