About the Role

Sydney Local Health District is one of the fastest growing Local Health Districts in New South Wales. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Officer to join our EUS team. This role is responsible for providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and delivering reliable IT services across the organisation.

The successful candidate will have experience supporting enterprise desktop environments, including Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft SCCM. Key responsibilities include providing desktop, laptop, and peripheral support; deploying, configuring, and maintaining endpoint devices; managing software deployments, operating system imaging, and application updates; and ensuring a high level of customer service and user satisfaction.

Candidates should possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused IT support environment. Relevant IT qualifications and experience with endpoint management and desktop support technologies will be highly regarded.

This position provides support to all hospitals within SLHD and will require travelling across facilities.

- Degree/certification in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience,



or a combination of study and work experience and must have robust administration experience with SCCM 2012 R2 and above.
- Experience with MSI & App-V packaging and deployment.
- Experience working with AD Services & Group Policy.
- Must have experience with VB/PowerShell scripting skills.
- Extensive PC/desktop installation and MS Office suite support and experience in a large Windows TCP/IP network.
- Knowledge of VPN remote access systems.
