- Lead policy and reform projects from development through to implementation
- Analyse complex policy issues, data and legislation
- Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, presentations and correspondence
- Influence and negotiate practical policy solutions
- Lead and support a high-performing team
- Build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and manage risks in a complex and changing environment
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong strategic policy and implementation experience
- Experience leading policy, reform, projects or programs in the public sector
- Excellent analytical, written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Sound judgement and governance capability
- Experience working with legislation
- Knowledge of the disability sector, strategic commissioning or Commonwealth procurement would be advantageous
