We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Operator / Maintainer to join our clients high-performing maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role critical to ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of site electrical systems and plant equipment.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of electrical assets across the site, coordinating maintenance activities and shutdown works in line with production requirements. This role requires strong technical capability, leadership of contractors, and a proactive approach to fault finding and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities across the site
- Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance programs
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment faults using trade knowledge and SCADA systems
- Manage and oversee external electrical contractors to ensure protected and compliant delivery of works
- Coordinate shutdown and maintenance activities in line with plant schedules
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across plant reliability and performance
About You
- Electrical Trade Qualification or equivalent technical certification
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in maintenance supervision and/or industrial operations
- Strong background in industrial environments such as cement, mining, or processing plants (highly regarded)
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills on complex electrical systems
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, sensors, drives, VSDs, and industrial networking
- Ability to program and configure electrical drives and VSDs
- Strong understanding of industrial machinery and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience managing external contractors and ensuring safe work practices
- Current SA Driver's Licence
