Are you an Embedded Software or Hardware Engineer looking for an prospect to work on technology that operates in the real world?

At RCT Powered by Epiroc, you'll develop software and systems used across mining and industrial applications, from the automation of large mining machines to sophisticated data acquisition systems and custom technology solutions.

This is an opportunity to join a team of engineers working on both evolving existing products and delivering the next generation of RCT technology. You'll be involved across the full software and hardware development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to implementation, testing, release and ongoing support.

What you'll do

- Develop and maintain software for RCT's automation, control and data acquisition products at the embedded systems level
- Participate across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, release and support
- Work on resource constrained devices with limited resources and hard real-time constraints
- Develop and iterate embedded software and hardware to support current and next-generation products
- Support testing using lab equipment such a Oscilloscopes and Signal Generators
- Work collaboratively with engineers and cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges
- Contribute to design reviews, planning and continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, tools and development practices




- Prepare clear and accurate technical documentation and project updates

About you We're looking for a Software Engineer who is logical, methodical and curious, with a genuine interest in developing technology that solves real-world problems. A strong hardware background with the ability to perform schematic capture, review and layout as well as board bring up and early diagnostics.

You'll ideally have

- A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years' experience in software design and development
- 2+ years' experience in hardware design and development
- Solid programming skills in an appropriate programming language
- Experience with Jira or similar issue/time management tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a systematic approach to your work
- Good time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to produce clear, accurate technical documentation
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams
- An openness to feedback and a willingness to contribute to design discussions and reviews.
