An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified person to join our Murraylands Skills Centre Team as the Customer Support Officer.

Position Overview

This front-facing role is at the heart of our Centre’s operations. You’ll be the first point of contact for students, industry partners, and community members. This is a casual contract role through to 30 June 2027.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Economic Development, responsibilities of this role include:

- Providing friendly, respectful and helpful service to all customers.
- Managing on-site room bookings an assisting with event set up.
- Handling customer enquiries regarding the Murraylands Skills Centre.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting daily operations.

About You To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience in general office procedures.
- Experience in working in front line customer service.
- Effective verbal communication skills including liaison, negotiation, conflict resolution, information sharing with staff, team members and customers.
- Time management skills to effectively prioritise and organise workload.

The position is offered on a casual basis, with an ongoing contract at General Officer Level 2, in accordance with the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Council’s current Enterprise Agreement with an hourly rate from $38.47 to $41.93 + 25% causal loading + superannuation. The salary will be negotiated dependent on experience with the final candidate and will be Pro-Rata to 0.8 FTE.
