Role
Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions. Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations. Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal. Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school. Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor. Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Responsibilities
Daily Organisation The position will:
- coordinate daily staff absences and replacement requirements
- book, coordinate and support Casual Relief Teachers
- ensure classes, yard duties, activities and events are appropriately covered
- allocate replacement classes, under-allotted staff and in-lieu arrangements in accordance with College processes
- coordinate room changes and daily operational adjustments
- update Compass and relevant systems to reflect staffing and class changes
- prepare and communicate daily staffing information
- induct and brief CRTs regarding College expectations, procedures and systems
- maintain accurate records of replacement classes, CRT usage and Daily Organisation requirements
- identify and escalate significant staffing or supervision issues.
College Operations The position will:
- support the Assistant Principal ¿ College Operations in coordinating whole-school operational processes
- assist with forward planning for staffing, rooming, events and College activities
- maintain accurate operational records and documentation
- support the effective allocation and use of staff, learning spaces and College resources
- identify recurring operational issues and recommend practical solutions
- support key College events and operational priorities
- contribute to the development and maintenance of clear College operational processes.
Timetabling The position will:
- support the development and implementation of the College timetable
- maintain and update the timetable throughout the year
- work collaboratively with College leaders to ensure timetable information reflects curriculum, staffing and operational requirements
- assist with teacher allotments, class structures, room allocations and yard duties
- update timetable information in Edval, Compass and relevant College systems
- process approved timetable changes
- identify timetable constraints and provide possible solutions
- assist with the effective allocation of learning spaces and College resources
- support planning for future staffing and timetable requirements
- ensure timetable changes are clearly communicated to relevant staff and students
- support the publication and distribution of staff and student timetables
- liaise with Edval and Compass support where required to resolve system issues.
Systems and Administration The successful applicant will:
- develop and maintain strong working knowledge of Compass, Edval and other relevant College systems
- ensure information entered into College systems is accurate and current
- maintain staffing, timetable and operational records
- manage confidential information with discretion
- undertake relevant professional learning to maintain expertise in College systems and processes.
Communication and Collaboration The position will work closely with:
- Principal and Assistant Principals
- Business Manager
- Human Resources
- Curriculum and Pathways leaders
- Sub School and Year Level teams
- Teaching and Education Support staff
- Casual Relief Teachers
- Relevant external service providers.

Experience in Daily Organisation, Edval, Compass or school operations is desirable.
Working Arrangements
Due to the nature of Daily Organisation, the successful applicant will be required to commence work at 7:00 am on designated Daily Organisation days, with working hours adjusted accordingly.
The position may also require flexibility at key operational and timetabling points throughout the school year.

In 2026, the College has Year 7 - 11 student cohorts. We will add a year level every year following.
