About the role

Join SA Dental as a Dental Officer and use your clinical expertise to make a meaningful difference to the oral health of eligible South Australians. In this important role, you’ll provide high-quality dental care to clients presenting with complex dental disease and oral health needs, with a particular focus on delivering services to people within the Department for Correctional Services. You’ll independently manage complex cases, applying advanced clinical judgement and expertise to determine appropriate treatment and achieve positive outcomes.

Working closely with the Senior Dental Assistant Prisons and a broad network of experienced dental professionals, you’ll contribute to coordinated, patient-centred care across the service. You’ll collaborate with Senior Practitioners, Lead Clinicians, the Chief Dental Officer and other SA Dental clinicians, while building effective relationships with government and non-government partners. About You

You are a skilled and collaborative Dental Officer who brings sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality,



contemporary oral healthcare.

To be successful in this role, you will:

Be registrable as a dentist with the Dental Board of Australia

Hold a current South Australian EPA Radiation Licence

Demonstrate experience delivering complex general and emergency dental care

Apply independent judgement and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
