Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.

The Team & Role The primary focus of the role is to provide support and expertise to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in all aspects of Medical Administration. The deputy CMO will be based at the Wonthaggi and Phillip Island Community Hospital (PCIH) sites and work across the RCG as required.

Skills & Experience Required

Essential

· A current specialist registration with AHPRA in a relevant medical specialty or be otherwise recognised by AHPRA as a specialist practitioner in a field relevant to the role.

· Entitlement to work within Australia

· A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date

· Provision of valid Working with Children Check

· Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary,

· Superior interpersonal, consultation, negotiation and communication skills

Desirable

· Demonstrated leadership and management skills

· Experience in Clinical and Quality related research activities.

· Experience in teaching and post graduate education

· Demonstrated organisational ability
