About the role Mildura Health is seeking an accomplished and values-driven Director of Finance to provide financial stewardship, commercial performance and long-term sustainability of MIldura Health Private Hospital.

Its services include Mildura Health Private Hospital, Mildura Health Fund and Mildura Health Private Consulting, the Dr Julie Zrna Centre, along with an important partnership with the ICON Cancer Centre.
Mildura Health Private Hospital is a 56-bed surgical and medical hospital incorporating a Day Procedure Unit, Day Oncology Unit and five operating theatres. The hospital is recognised for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a warm and welcoming environment where people, relationships and community matter.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Executive General Manager – Hospital and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this position provides leadership of the Finance, Procurement and Payroll functions and executive oversight of designated patient and business support services. Working closely with executive colleagues,
Mildura Health Fund Chief Financial Officer and Board Committees to drive organisational performance, manage risk, ensure sound governance and support informed strategic decision-making.
This is a strategic leadership position with the prospect to:
- Lead financial strategy, planning and performance management to support organisational objectives and long-term sustainability.
- Provide strategic oversight of procurement, contracting, supplier governance and commercial activities.
- Provide executive oversight of payroll operations, controls and service performance.
- Provide strategic oversight of Patient Services and Administration Services to support efficient, responsive and patient-centred service delivery.
- Contribute to organisational strategy, business planning, service development and evaluation of opportunities.
- Provide visible, values-based leadership and foster accountability, collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.
About You We are seeking a confident and contemporary healthcare executive who combines strong financial, commercial and strategic capability with a genuine willingness to ensure patient focused care and connection to people and day-to-day hospital operations.
You will bring significant senior leadership experience within a hospital or similarly complex healthcare environment, together with a strong understanding of financial management, procurement, payroll, patient services and administration. Experience within the private hospital sector will be highly regarded, although accomplished executives from other healthcare settings are also encouraged to apply.
You will build trust through clear communication, sound judgement and a leadership style grounded in respect, collaboration and accountability.
