Are you a passionate, compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker looking for flexible casual employment?

Odix Care is seeking outstanding Disability Support Workers to join our team across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

We support children, young people, adults and families to live fulfilling, independent and meaningful lives. Our services are delivered across a range of settings, including in-home care, residential houses, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).

We work with clients from private, government and community service organisations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to clients with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, including clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
- Support clients with daily living activities, personal care and community participation.
- Administer medication and undertake manual handling in accordance with relevant guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Follow individualised Person-Centred Support Plans and Behaviour Support Plans.
- Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
- Monitor, record and report on client progress through accurate and thorough documentation.
- Promote clients' independence, dignity, choice and participation in the community.
- Maintain professional standards and comply with relevant NDIS and organisational requirements.

Availability

Flexibility and availability across a range of shifts is highly desirable, including:

- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Awake night shifts
- Sleepover shifts
- Weekend shifts

Essential Qualifications & Requirements





Applicants must have

- A relevant Certificate III, Certificate IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working with NDIS participants, particularly those with complex support needs.
- A full Victorian driver's licence and comprehensive vehicle insurance.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Current Medication Administration certification.
- A completed NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- A current Working with Children Check and Police Check, or willingness to obtain these.
- Evidence of Australian work rights/eligibility.
- COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with applicable client and workplace requirements.
