The Opportunity:
We are seeking passionate and motivated casual Disability Support Workers across our sites based in Panorama and Torrensville. In this role, you will provide hands-on, active support to participants, helping them work towards their individual goals while promoting choice, control and independence. You will support participants through a range of skill-building, social and community activities and may also provide personal care where required.
Shifts may be scheduled across weekdays and weekends, depending on participant needs and program requirements.
The casual hourly rate for this position is between $45.28 to $49.41 (based on the relevant qualifications and experience).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support participants to achieve their NDIS goals and build independence.
- Deliver individual and group supports in centre-based and community settings.
- Provide personal care, mealtime assistance and emotional support as required.
- Support skill development through structured activities and programs.
- Provide transport support using Bedford vehicles or public transport.
- Administer medication in line with training and organisational policy.
- Complete progress notes, incident reports and documentation electronically.
- Work in line with the NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct and Quality & Safeguarding Framework.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and respectful setting for participants and colleagues.
About You – The Ideal Candidate:
- A genuine commitment to supporting people with disability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confidence using technology for reporting and documentation.
- Flexibility to work casual hours, including some weekend shifts.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
To be successful in this role, you will require or have a willingness to obtain:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current South Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Provide First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Proof of completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
