We are currently looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team at our strawberry farm

Salary: $72,306 per year

This is a physically demanding and quick-paced role. Applicants should be prepared for long working days, early starts and working 6 days per week.

Requirements

- Valid Forklift Licence is essential
- Previous forklift driving experience is required
- Must be confident and competent operating a forklift in a busy work environment
- Good awareness of safety and surroundings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to 6 days per week
- Physically fit and comfortable working for extended periods
- Ability to work early mornings through to late afternoon/evening, depending on daily operations
- Must be able to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods

Main Duties

- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the site




- Moving strawberry pallets from outside storage areas into the cool rooms
- Moving strawberries from the cool rooms to the packing room as required
- Loading and unloading pallets
- Organising and positioning pallets in designated areas
- Assisting with general warehouse and production movements
- Following instructions from supervisors and responding quickly to changing operational requirements
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Completing all forklift operations in accordance with workplace safety procedures
