Trentham Waters Resort is looking for a reliable, guest-focused Full-Time Reception / Reservations Front Desk team member to join our growing front office team. This is a fantastic prospect to build a long-term career in the tourism industry at a new resort, working alongside our Assistant Manager and Duty Supervisor in a supportive, close-knit team.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out for villa and site accommodation
- Respond to guest queries in person, by phone, and by email in a warm, professional manner
- Handle guest requests, complaints, and special occasions with a solutions-focused approach
- Coordinate with housekeeping on villa status, early check-ins, and turnover timing
- Manage new bookings, amendments, and cancellations across all accommodation types
- Process payments, account balances, and outstanding booking costs accurately
- Maintain accurate guest and booking records in the property management system (Newbook)
- Monitor the Due for Arrival list and prepare for daily check-ins
- Support the front office team with day-to-day front office operations
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area
About you
- Confident, friendly communicator with strong customer service skills
- Comfortable using booking/property management software (Newbook experience a plus, but not essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Well presented with a genuine passion for guest experience
- Available to work the Tuesday–Saturday roster, including some public holidays
