Funeral Directors Assistant

Stephen Baggs Funeral Directors is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our team. We provide funeral service from our Bairnsdale premises through the East Gippsland region and beyond. This part-time or casual position would best suit someone with existing funeral industry experience as a funeral director's assistant or an inexperienced person who is motivated and willing to learn.

We will consider applicants without relevant experience, provided they have excellent communication skills and can demonstrate an ability to work closely with others as part of a team.

Applicants must be well presented, hold a current Australian driver's licence and possess a reasonable level of fitness. The position may suit a recently retired or semi-retired person.

All training will be provided by our experienced staff. An applicant looking for further advancement within the industry would be encouraged.

Tasks include:

•Attending and assisting on funerals. Assisting with transfer work from hospitals, care facilities and other places.

•Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.





•Some vehicle cleaning and general maintenance work when required.

•The successful applicant will be required outside of normal working hours, from time to time. All our staff members assist in covering our rolling roster.

Essential Requirements:

•Genuine care and empathy for our client families.

•A clean presentable appearance.

•Positive time management.

•Attention to detail.

•Capacity to work closely with others as part of a team.

•Current Victorian drivers licence

•A good level of fitness to perform many tasks.

•Experience with IT and of AV equipment would be an advantage.
