Osborne Richardson has partnered with this key Transport and Main Roads focused QLD State Government agency to find a GIS Developer who can lead the charge on modernising their Interactive Mapping platform. This is a cracking opportunity for a specialist GIS developer to get stuck into a genuine platform transformation — migrating legacy Geocortex Essentials applications across to VertiGIS Studio Web, right in our home patch of Queensland state government.
You'll be the technical driver behind redesigning and rebuilding enterprise spatial applications, working across ArcGIS Enterprise and VertiGIS Studio to deliver a more maintainable, future-ready platform.
What you'll be doing:
- Migrating Geocortex Essentials applications, viewers, workflows and custom components to VertiGIS Studio Web
- Assessing and rationalising ArcGIS Enterprise content — Portal items, groups, web maps, services, security models and app dependencies
- Developing and maintaining ArcGIS Enterprise applications, services, integrations and spatial data solutions
- Leading the Workflow 5 migration from Geocortex to VertiGIS Studio, including new business functionality
- Building custom code, integrations, REST services, security controls, editing tools and user management capabilities
- Producing technical designs, solution estimates, SOWs,
migration plans and deployment/support documentation
- Running system integration testing, UAT, deployments, defect remediation and production support
- Refactoring .NET C# to integrate with ArcGIS Enterprise and VertiGIS Studio
What you'll bring:
1. Hands-on experience with VertiGIS Studio Web and VertiGIS Workflow Designer
2. Solid background in Geocortex Essentials and Geocortex Workflows
3. Strong ArcGIS Enterprise skills (Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro), including Portal administration and security
4. Experience building ArcGIS Web Maps, Feature Services and Geoprocessing Services
5. Microsoft .NET / C# development experience
6. JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS front-end skills
7. Confidence with REST APIs, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, SQL spatial database development and Git
What's on offer: A contract role with TMR running through to June 2027, based at Carseldine with 50% WFH flexibility, and the chance to genuinely shape the future of a major government spatial platform. Local candidates only, please. Excellent pay rate. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, bring your A game and give Owen Millar a shout on [0414 706 605](tel:0414 706 605) or email
