What you'll do

As a Graduate Accountant, you'll work closely with experienced team members while gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and business advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include

- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns
- Preparing Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Supporting team members with client work and workflow management
- Providing bookkeeping and cloud accounting services
- Assisting with client communications and relationship management
- Participating in client meetings and developing your professional and advisory skills

What we're looking for

At Rogerson Kenny, technical skills are significant, but so are people skills. We're looking for graduates who enjoy working with people, communicating with clients, and developing into trusted advisers over time.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Tertiary qualifications (completed or near completion) with a major in Accounting
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients and building professional relationships, both in person and over the phone
- The ability to explain information clearly and professionally to clients, colleagues and business owners
- A positive, proactive attitude and genuine willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

- Have recently completed your degree and are ready to commence full-time;
- Are in the final stages of your studies and would like to start part-time while you complete your degree before transitioning to full-time; or
