NACP Projects aims to deliver value for money outcomes and build a trusted brand in commercial construction while generating continuous revenue streams and profitability that allows NACP Projects to invest in social initiatives, training and development and trade competency.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
Due to continued project growth, and to support our NACP Projects team in Darwin, we are expanding our team of experienced construction professionals and are now looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Estimator to perform the following duties:
- Preparing accurate and competitive tender estimates for commercial construction projects;
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation;
- Obtaining, reviewing and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations;
- Preparing tender submissions and supporting documentation;
- Identifying project risks and opportunities and making recommendations on pricing strategies;
- Liaising and effectively communicating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tender process;
- Assisting with post-tender negotiations, tender handovers and project start-up;
- Working collaboratively with the wider project delivery team to secure successful project outcomes.
To be our next successful Estimator, you’ll be a highly motivated and adaptable individual who builds effective and lasting relationships and shares our unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility within the construction sector. You will have a tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar and proven experience in the Australian market. Ideally,
you will have 3 to 8 years’ experience estimating commercial construction projects with sound knowledge of local subcontractor markets, construction methodologies and estimating software such as CostX or EstimateOne. Experience with defence tenders will be highly regarded.
The successful candidate will also need to provide a current police check, proof of residency/working entitlement and identity verification information prior to being made a formal offer. Australian citizens who are eligible to apply for/currently hold an AGSVA security clearance would be preferred.
