Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is the preferred in-house product demonstration and event marketing partner for Costco. We create engaging experiences that influence purchasing decisions, drive sales, and connect brands with Costco members across Australia and New Zealand.

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) Epping, VIC, has an exciting chance for an Event Manager to join and lead our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Event Manager, you’ll lead and develop a team of in-store Sales Advisors, delivering high-quality product demonstrations, driving sales, and creating outstanding members’ experience.

What you’ll be doing

- Leading and managing the daily activities of Sales Advisors (Product Demonstrators) to ensure product preparation and engaging Costco member interactions
- Training, coaching, mentoring and guiding your team to deliver successful and impactful events
- Providing direction and oversight of all product demonstrations, ensuring events are executed to quality standards
- Setting, monitoring and maintaining Food Safety, Sanitation and Workplace Health & Safety standards for all team members
- Participating in the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of team members
- Applying progressive coaching and performance management practices in line with company policies to improve performance, engagement and retention
- Collaborating with store management and associates to resolve issues and review results
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with management, customers and key stakeholders across buying, marketing and store operations




- Conducting accident and incident investigations in accordance with company guidelines
- Supporting and participating in Club Store grand openings and travelling as required
- Promoting and selling vendor products in line with CDS policies and procedures
- Ensuring high standards of member service are consistently delivered

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience as an Event Manager or in a similar leadership role within retail, hospitality, or a related field
- Strong customer service and sales background, with a people-first approach
- Confident leader to train, coach, develop and guide a team
- Clear and confident communication skills to engage customers, team members, vendors and management
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, demonstrate accountability and make sound judgement
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office and online work systems
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)
