Essential Criteria
Experience and Skills
· Exhibit a high level of skill and craftsmanship in all tasks related to the sheet metal and boiler making industry.
· Apply your fabrication expertise to work on materials ranging from 0.5 to 12mm in thickness, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. Previous experience with these materials is preferred.
· Ability to fabricate new products from drawings and specifications, including tube and pipework, general fabrication, and structural components in accordance with the provided scope of work
· Proficient in TIG, MIG(GMAW), MMAW and orbital welding techniques.
· Experience with the Press Brake System, specifically the Delem controller DA-69T.
· Ability to create patterns for bends, tees, cones, and transitions from square to round.
· A minimum of 10 years of trade experience.
· Experience across the food processing, power generation, water infrastructure and heavy engineering industries.
· Ability to work independently and unsupervised, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
· Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
· Willingness to learn new skills and techniques to improve proficiency in the field.
· Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skill
Qualifications
· Australian Trade Certificate
· Welding tickets 3, 7 & 8 advantageous
· Construction Card (White card)
· A valid driver's license is required.
· A forklift ticket is advantageous.
