Factory Worker / All-Rounder – Window & Door Fabrication

Express Windows and Doors is a growing, tight-knit team based in Salisbury, QLD. Due to company growth, we're looking for a Factory Worker / All-Rounder to join our production team.

This is a genuine all-rounder role – you'll assist our fabricators with window and door assembly, handle incoming and outgoing deliveries, keep the workshop running smoothly, and deliver finished product to customer sites in a company vehicle.

No prior window fabrication experience is required – full training will be provided. We're looking for someone comfortable with hand tools, physically capable, and who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.

This is a permanent, full-time role with weekly pay, in office parking, and genuine training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist fabricators with the assembly and production of aluminium windows and doors
- Receive incoming deliveries – check quantities and quality against paperwork/purchase orders and report discrepancies or damage
- Pick, pack and load orders ready for dispatch
- Drive a company vehicle to deliver and/or install completed orders at customer sites, representing EWD professionally
- Keep the workshop, yard and vehicles clean, tidy and organised at all times
- Carry out general labouring duties – lifting, moving stock and generalhousekeeping
- Identify and carry out routine tasks without being asked – proactively look for what needs doing
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and use PPE as required
- Support other team members and departments as needed during busy periods





About You Essential (Must-Haves):

- Some experience using hand and power tools (trade, hobbyist, or general labouring background all considered)
- Current manual driver's licence, with a safe driving record – comfortable driving a company vehicle, including to unfamiliar addresses
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling, lifting and standing for extended periods
- Basic numeracy and literacy for checking deliveries and reading job/work orders
- Australian work rights
- No formal qualifications required – open to junior candidates starting out or experienced workers later in their career

Desirable (Nice-to-Haves):

- Forklift licence
- First Aid certification
- CNC experience
- Experience in a workshop, warehouse, or trade environment

Training & Development Full on-the-job training in window and door fabrication will be provided. This is a genuine opportunity to build a trade-adjacent skill set within a growing, multi-state glazing business – suited equally to someone starting their working life or an experienced all-rounder looking for a steady, hands-on role.

Physical Requirements The role involves regular lifting, bending, standing and manual handling of glass, aluminium and timber components, as well as driving. A pre-employment medical/functional assessment may be required.
