About the role
This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timely submission of claims, billing, reconciliations and reporting across Support at Home, the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and private client streams. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in finance, billing or an Accounts Receivable role, preferably within the aged care, community services, home care or health industries. Solid proficiency with financial systems and spreadsheets (Excel) is required, and experience with Epicor is desirable but not essential.
The ability to quickly learn new systems and software (eg: home care management platforms) will be well regarded.
Skills and Experience
- Accuracy, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines within a structured framework.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication and collaboration with operational teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain billing issues, variances, and processes clearly to colleagues.
- Solid understanding of compliance frameworks and funding obligations in a heavily regulated environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts such as reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
