Hitek Steel Framing is looking for a Finance & Office Manager to take end-to-end ownership of day-to-day finance and office operations across the business. This isn't a task list — it's a role for someone who sets their own deadlines, and actively looks for ways to make things run better.

You'll work closely with the CFO and General Manager, with genuine scope to shape how finance and office operations run as the business scales nationally.

As a specialist steel house frame manufacturer, we use advanced technology and software to produce precision, pre-assembled steel frames ready for fast on-site installation.

The business has expanded nationally and this role is being elevated to match that growth, with real scope to take on more as you prove yourself.

About the role

This is a broad role combining two closely connected areas: responsibility for the core finance function, and ownership of the office’s day-to-day operations. As part of a small, high-performing team, you will have the trust and authority to manage competing priorities, work autonomously, anticipate and resolve problems, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes.

We're looking for someone who:

- Takes full ownership of outcomes, not just tasks

Key responsibilities

- End-to-end accounts receivable and accounts payable

- Purchasing and payroll processing
- Preparation and timely lodgement of activity statements, payroll tax and superannuation
- Bank reconciliations and maintenance of accounts records

- Investigating and resolving issues
- Preparation of weekly and monthly reporting and analysis
- Handling customer and supplier queries
- Take ownership of production procurement, ensuring essential materials and supplies are ordered to maintain production schedules
- Overseeing reception and day-to-day administrative support for the executive team.

- Support for HR
- Own the smooth running of the office

About you We are looking for someone who:

- Has solid experience across finance and office administration
- Is confident using MYOB or other accounting software
- Has solid Excel skills
- Is highly organised, accurate and detail-oriented
- Owns their deadlines and their mistakes — no chasing required
- Is comfortable working autonomously in a closely knit team
