Our client, a highly regarded independent school, is seeking a confident and capable Finance Officer to join their collaborative finance team on a permanent 4-day-per-week basis.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in managing school fee accounts, supporting month-end processes and building trusted relationships with families and stakeholders across the school community. This is an ideal opportunity for an accounts professional who enjoys variety, thrives on meaningful stakeholder interaction and is looking for genuine work-life balance.

What you'll be doing

- Assist with month-end reconciliations, including bank accounts, school fee ledgers, grants, journals and reporting responsibilities
- Managing school fee accounts and payment arrangements
- Building positive relationships with parents and caregivers and internal stakeholders
- Monitoring receivables and proactively following up outstanding accounts
- Investigating discrepancies and maintaining accurate financial records
- Assisting with finance projects, process improvements and day-to-day operations
- Providing responsive support across the school community

About you What matters most is your ability to combine your strong accounting fundamentals with exceptional communication skills.

You will bring

- Experience in accounts receivable, finance administration or accounting
- Strong reconciliation and reporting capability
- Intermediate Excel skills with knowledge of TASS, Synergetic, Compass and Sentral highly regarded
- The confidence to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy
- A proactive,



solutions-focused approach with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding stakeholder service
- You will hold or be working towards a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
