Description

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a reliable, experienced and compassionate Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide domestic assistance services to clients.

This role is suitable for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe home environment and who is comfortable supporting older people living independently in the community.

Duties may include

- General household cleaning
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- Laundry and changing bed linen
- Light household organisation
- Assisting with other reasonable domestic tasks
- Maintaining a safe and tidy setting
- Reporting any concerns or changes noticed during visits
- Completing progress notes after each service

Applicants should have:

- Ability to communicate effectively in Arabic and English
- Experience providing domestic assistance, aged care or community support
- Current National Police Check




- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Reliable vehicle
- Appropriate vehicle insurance
- Current working rights in Australia
- Good communication and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes
- Ability to complete accurate progress notes

Preferred

The following will be highly regarded:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent
- Previous experience working with older people
- Experience providing community-based domestic assistance
- Understanding of person-centred care and professional boundaries
