Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with this fantastic Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in the Northern Territory to help them find a passionate Registered Nurse to join their team in this fantastic remote community-based role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Primary Health Care or Emergency Nurse who is ready to take the next step into Remote Area Nursing, with experienced support around you as you develop your remote nursing skills.

Further Details

- $2,000 Curis sign-up bonus*
- Permanent Full-time position
- Base salary of $120,000 + superannuation +on-call
- Free fully furnished 2 bed house
- Relocation assistance provided
- 6 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading
- $5,000 retention bonus annually
- Very experienced team who will support you to upskill on the job

Why You'll Love this Role

As the Remote Area Nurse, you will provide a broad range of primary and acute healthcare services to the local community.

You don't need previous RAN experience for this role. If you have a strong background in primary health care or emergency nursing, you'll have the opportunity to build your remote nursing skills while working alongside an experienced, supportive team.





Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

- Providing primary health care and acute clinical services
- Chronic disease management and preventative health care
- Health assessments and clinical consultations
- Working collaboratively with Aboriginal Health Practitioners and other healthcare professionals
- Developing your clinical autonomy and remote nursing skills
- Participating in a 2-3 times per week on-call roster

Location

Your backyard is pretty spectacular, with ocean, bush and tropical landscapes all around you. In your time off, you can walk the beach, go fishing, camping, explore the outdoors and enjoy the relaxed pace of remote community life.

You'll have the essentials close by, including grocery stores, a post office, library, school and plenty of community sporting facilities.

While you're remote, you're not cut off. The local airport has regular flights to Darwin, making it easy to stay connected with family and friends when you need to.

Essential Criteria

- Be fully registered with AHPRA with no restrictions
- Have a minimum of 3 years' post-graduate nursing experience
- Have experience in primary health care, rural or emergency nursing
- Have solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Be willing to develop your Remote Area Nursing capabilities
- Have a commitment to culturally safe and respectful healthcare
- Hold a current unrestricted manual driver's licence
- Have full Australian working rights
