Head of Property Management

We’re launching Locale’s Property Management business, and we’re looking for the person to build it.

Not inherit it. Build it.

You’ll have an existing customer ecosystem, a growing pipeline of property owners and investors, and established teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and AI & Growth Systems behind you.

You’ll bring the Property Management experience, commercial thinking and drive to turn that platform into a significant business.

The Opportunity

As Head of Property Management, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of establishing, growing and leading Locale’s Property Management business.

This isn’t a traditional Head of Property Management or Department Manager role where you inherit an existing team, rent roll and way of doing things.

There’s no inherited culture to fix. No outdated processes to work around. No legacy systems holding you back.

You get to build it properly from the start.

You’ll shape the strategy, grow the rent roll, build the team, establish the systems and technology, drive the customer experience and take ownership of commercial performance.

While you’re building from the ground up, you won’t be starting from zero.

You’ll work closely with our Managing Director and leaders across Locale Homes, Locale Wealth and Locale Financial, leveraging our existing customer base, investor pipeline and broader property ecosystem to accelerate growth.

You’ll also have established capability across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Financial Control, and AI & Growth Systems behind you.

What You’ll Own

Build the Business

- Lead the establishment and launch of Locale’s Property Management business.
- Develop and execute the business plan, operating model and growth strategy.
- Build the systems, processes, technology and foundations required to scale.
- Work with Group leadership to shape the long-term direction of the business.




- Build with future geographic and national expansion in mind.

Own The Rent Roll

- Build a high-quality, profitable and sustainable residential rent roll.
- Drive client acquisition across both Locale and external channels.
- Maximise opportunities across Locale Homes, Locale Wealth and Locale Financial.
- Build strong referral and conversion pathways across the Group.
- Develop external relationships with property owners, investors, developers, referral partners and industry networks.
- Identify and assess strategic rent roll acquisition opportunities.
- Own the growth pipeline from opportunity through to conversion.

Own Commercial Performance

- Take ownership of the commercial performance of the business.
- Establish and manage growth, revenue, profitability and operating targets.
- Work closely with Finance on budgets, forecasts and performance reporting.
- Build a commercially strong service offering that delivers genuine customer value.
- Continuously improve efficiency, productivity and operating leverage as the business scales.

Build an Exceptional Customer Experience

- Build an exceptional end-to-end experience for landlords and tenants.
- Challenge the traditional Property Management model and identify where we can do things better.
- Create simple, proactive and high-quality communication throughout the customer journey.
- Build long-term customer relationships that drive retention, referrals and portfolio growth.

Technology, Systems & Innovation

- Build simple, scalable Property Management processes from day one.
- Work closely with our AI & Growth Systems team to implement the right platforms, automation and technology.
- Use technology and AI to reduce administration, improve customer experience and increase team capacity.
- Establish clear dashboards and reporting across growth, customer experience, compliance and operational performance.

Leadership, Licensing & Compliance

- Ensure the business meets all applicable WA licensing, legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Provide or support the appropriate licensing capability required for the business.
- Establish strong governance, trust account and compliance processes.
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing Property Management team as the business grows.
- Build a culture of customer focus, high standards, accountability and pace.

About You

You’re an experienced Property Management professional who gets more excited about building something than simply running something that already exists.

You understand Property Management operations, but you also think commercially.

You know how to grow a rent roll,



win business, build relationships, lead people and deliver a great customer experience.

You’re comfortable being hands-on in the early stages. You don’t need everything perfectly built around you before you start.

You have energy, ownership, grit and ambition.

You might currently be a:

- Head of Property Management
- Property Management Department Manager
- Department Head
- Licensee
- Property Management Business Development Manager
- Senior Property Manager ready to step into leadership

The title matters less to us than your capability and ambition.

What You’ll Bring

- Strong experience within residential Property Management.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end Property Management operations.
- Strong knowledge of WA residential tenancy legislation, regulation and compliance.
- Proven business development, relationship building or client acquisition capability.
- Experience growing or contributing significantly to the growth of a rent roll.
- Strong commercial thinking and understanding of business performance.
- Leadership capability and the ability to build and develop a great team.
- High levels of ownership, accountability and initiative.
- The ability to think strategically and still roll your sleeves up and execute.

WA Real Estate & Business Agent licensing capability will be highly regarded. Appropriate licensing capability for the operation of the business will be required. Experience establishing a Property Management business, growing a significant rent roll, acquiring rent rolls or implementing current technology and systems would be highly regarded.
