About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve our workplace health and safety function. This is a full-time position responsible for promoting a solid safety culture across the organisation, maintaining compliance with applicable WHS legislation and standards, and partnering with employees, supervisors, management and stakeholders to identify and minimise workplace risks.

The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership of the Health & Safety function while supporting our people and business to maintain safe and compliant work practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop the Health & Safety function and promote a strong safety culture across the business.
- Develop,



implement and continuously improve WHS policies, procedures and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, AS/NZS 45001:2018 and WHS Accreditation requirements.
- Lead risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Manage workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Deliver and coordinate health and safety training, ensuring training records remain current and compliant.
- Provide expert WHS advice and support to managers, supervisors and employees.
- Monitor and report on safety performance to senior management and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.

About You You will be a confident and hands-on Health & Safety professional with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. You will have the ability to work collaboratively across operational environments while also providing strategic advice to senior management.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline.
- Relevant WHS certifications and industry experience will be highly regarded.
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety / WHS management role,



preferably within mining, quarrying, construction, or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of WHS/OHS legislation, risk management and safety systems.
- Experience developing and implementing safety policies, procedures and management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, risk assessment and corrective action management.
- Experience managing workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes.
- Strong understanding of AS/NZS 45001:2018 requirements.
- Experience with WHS audits, inspections and compliance programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop a safety team.
- Have a current Western Australian C driver’s licence
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to workplace safety.
